Asalaamu Alaikum wa Rehmatullah,
There are many naat khuwaans about today, but they are nowhere near or our Hazrat Hajji Qari Muhammad Mushtaq Qadri Attari (Rehmatullahi Taa'ala Alaih), He was indeed Maqbool-e-Bargah-e-Risaalat (Sallallahu Ta'ala Alaihi Wasallam). Like him, his father Maulana Ikhlaaq Ahmed (Rehmatullahi Taa'ala Alaih) was also a good and a pious person of his time. Hajji Muhammad Mushtaq Qadri Attari (Rehmatullahi Taa'ala Alaih) was born in the year 1969 at Sarhad, Wazeerstan Pakistan and his background is from India at Muradabad. When his son (ie. Haji Mushtaq Qadri) was born, he told Haji Mushtaq Sahib's mother, only feed mother's milk to this boy when you are in a state of wuzu. Haji Sahib started reciting naat sharif with much enthusiasm at a very young age. Hajji Muhammad Mushtaq Qadri Attari (Rehmatullahi Taa'ala Alaih) parents later from Sarhad moved to Karachi (Baabul Madinah), he was also a naat Khuwaan in his childhood, he thought Muhammad Owais Raza Qadri on reciting naat Khuwaan and whtever Owais Bhai is, he got his Faizan from our Mushtaq (Rehmatullahi Taa'ala Alaih). His Naats are undoubtedly very touching, I request all Brothers/Sisters to listen to his Naats, and if they touch your heart then please pray for him and make Isaale Swaab for him.
Influnced by Ameere Ahlesunnat: It was the year 1986 when Hajji Mushtaq Attari was influenced by Ameere Ahlesunat Hazrat Allama Maulana Muhammad Ilyas attar Qadiri at the hand of a brother from Nagi Town Iftikhaar Baaba. He was entered into the silsilla Aaliyya Qaderiyya Razwiyya Attariyya.
Made a Nigraan: He was made the Nigraan of Nagi Town when he was only 22 years of age in the year 1991.
Marriage: He got Married in the 1991, his nikkah was also read by his shaykh, Ameere Ahlesunnat Hazrat Allama Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri Rizwi (Damatbarkathumul Aaliya)
Blessed with Four Flowers: Hajji Muhammad Mushtaq Qadri Attari (Rehmatullahi Taa'ala Alaih) was blessed with Four (4) flowers, Obaid Raza Attari, Abdul Mustafa Attari, Faizan Attari and Ashfaq Attari.
Made the Imam: In the year 1997 he was made the Imam of Kanzul Imam Masque at the hands of Ameere Ahlsunnat.
Made him the Nigraan Shurah:Ameere Ahlesunnat made him the Nigraan Shurah for Dawate Islami in the year 2000.
Not a Naat Khuwaan for Money: when he was older in his 20s and 30s (he lived till age 32 only), he never accepted any money to come to recite naat sharif. He never request that some car be sent to pick him up to take him to any mehfil. In fact, he would never even request for money to pay for the rickshaw. The biggest record label companies in pakistan would offer him a blank check (ie. as much money as he wanted) if he would record tapes and CDs for them to sell. Haji Mushtaq Sahib never accepted this money. He only made recordings for Dawat-e-Islami which were distributed either at cost, or if any profit was made from the hadia, then that money would go into dawat-e-islami.
Last Breath: When it came time for Haji Mushtaq's last breaths, Hazrat Maulana Ilyas Qadri sahib was in the UAE. Haji Mushtaq was laying on his bed unable to speak due to his illness, and the telephone was put to his ear. Hazrat Maulana Ilyas Qadri sahib said some words to Haji Mushtaq and also told him to recite kalma as per way of the ahle sunnat. Then Haji Sahib took his last breath. He departed from this temporary world at the early morning on 5th of November 2002 AC (29th Shaban) here in Karachi. He has been suffering from chest and throat cancer.
Namaaz Janaazah: Hazrat Allama Maulana Ilyas Qadri sahib immediately returned to karachi where he led the namaaz-e-janaza of Haji Mushtaq. Many hundreds of thousands of people attended the janaza. They were all reciting the famous naat sharif written by Imam e Ahle Sunat Maulana Shah Ahmad Raza Khan rahmatulla alai, "Kabay kay badruduja tum pay karoron durood", as is the tradition of the ahle sunnat people. People from everywhere around the world including places far and wide like Japan and the US recited countless number of quran-e-majeed, durood sharif, and other types of ibadah for the isaal-e-sawaab of Haji Sahib.
Mazaar Sharif: His mazaar was made at Dawat-e-Islami's Sehra-e-Madinah ground near the new subzi madni in karachi. The room from which Haji Mushtaq Sahib did his work and spent time in was sealed off, until his son who is currently attending dars-e-nizami becomes finished with his education and tarbiyat. Then it will given to him.
Blessings bestowed upon Hajji Mushtaq: One person from karachi reports that on the morning of the passing of Haji Mushtaq Qadri, or perhaps it was the night before, I don't remember exactly, this person had ziarat of the Sweet Madni Prophet sallalaho alayhi wassalam. This person said that he saw that Sarkar sallalaho alayhi wassalam was saying to Hazrat Abu Bukr Siddiq (radhiallahuanhu), "Mushtaq Qadri is coming, and when he comes I want you to greet him too and we will listen to a naat sharif recited by him."
It has been said that either a sister or aunt of Haji Mushtaq Qadri sahib saw him in a dream after his passing, and saw Haji Mushtaq Sahib standing in front of the Kaba Sharif reciting a naat.
Soyam of Hajji Mushtaq: They Soyam was held at Faizan-e-Madinah,Karachi after Namaz-e-Tarawee on Thursday 7th November, this was attended by so many people un-believable.
LETS PRAY THAT ALLAH AZUWAJJAL GIVES ALL THE NAAT KHUWAANS THE TAUFEEQ TO FOLLOW THE FOOTSTEPS OF OUR MUSHTAQ (REHMATULLAH ALAIH).
There are so many Naat Khuwaans, who when they see money they go into so much Joaush, but our Mushtaq was not like that. Our Shaykh Ameere Ahlesunnat thought us Hatred for this,
Ameere Ahlesunnat mentions in one of his Naatiya Ashaars:
Naa Daulat Doh Naa Shawrat Doh, Mujhay bus Yeh Sa’adat Doh
Mein Marr Jawoon; Main Raw Raw kar Madeene Main
People say, "I am poor, but in reality I am the richest person, because I have the wealth of Ishq-e-Rasool (Sallallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
His Naat’s were solely for Islam and he proved his Love for the Prophet (Sallallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) practically, he had a full Beard according to the Sunnah and dress according to the Sunnah with the Amammah (Turban). Those Naat khuwaans need to learn a lesson from our Mushtaq (Rehmatullahi Alaih).
My request to all islami bhais and islami behns please listen to his Tilawats, Hamds Naats, Manqabats Bayaans (Lectures), Salaams and Munjaats, if they touch your heart, then please pay your tribute on this link
He was known as and still is remembered as
"Attar ka piyara Mushtaq Attari Rehmatullah Allahi"
You can listen to his Naats and view some beutifull images of his Mazaar Sharif (Shrine) at this link:http://faizaneattar.net/Islamic_Events/Shaban/29/Haji_Mushtaq/index.html
some beautiful words by Mian Aqeel bhai
Mushtaq Qadri Rehmatullah Ta ala alaih was a very pious person.
When his murshid told him to sit somewhere he would not get up without his permission. Once Ameer-e-Ahlesunnat was asked "how should a naat khwan be?" he replied "like Mushtaq Qadri" Subhan Allah! This was the love Ameer-e-Ahle sunnat kept for Hajji Mushtaq Rehmatullah Ta ala Alai. Mushtaq Qadri was known as Attar ka piyara. This was because he always put his deen before his own affairs. Whenever Ameer-e-Ahlesunnat told him to go to so and so for deen he would say Lubaik.
It is no wonder that he had so many quran paak read for him when he died, (something like in millions). A young girl saw Hajji Mushtaq in her dream after he had passed away, he was in sweet smelling gardens, she asked what Allah had done with him, he replied I have passed all the different tests of Allah in my life and with the help of my murshid.
Subhan Allah, Mash'Allah. I have never heard of a more pious naat khwan. They say when Hajji Mushtaq rehmatullah ta ala alaih would pause between his lines in his naats he became so still that it looked as though he had breathed his last breath. I have also heard that whilst reciting naats Hajji Mushtaq rehmatullah ta ala alaih could invision Huzoor-e-akram sallalaho alaihi wasallim.
I love Mushtaq Qadri rehmatullah ta ala alaih very much. And pray that one day I meet him. Please remember him too.
Jazak Allah Khair.
